Last 2 shows for 2014

The Rebelles are taking a break from recording their highly anticipated debut LP – not long now, people! – to shake off that studio dust with a double dose of rockin’ live action and dance floor madness.

First up is an absolute doozy! The Rebelles will be sharing the LuWow stage with Japanese beat punk freaks, the Minnesota Voodoo Men. If you like your early Stones and Yardbirds mixed in the wash with some Link Wray and pegged onto the hills hoist to dry by Billy Childish, then you’ll be heading down to the LuWow for one hell of a night. Get there early, share a famous LuWow cocktail with an attractive stranger and let yourself go go! This will be a big one!

Then you’ve got 48 hours before we get rowdy all over again, this time down at Yah Yahs, supporting the ever excellent Kinematic for the launch of their fourth LP, Kinecism. Kinematic have been mainstays on the Melbourne scene since back in 2000 and are part of the Rebelles royal bloodline in the form of Oz Rebelle (drummer extraordinaire, paramour of the gorgeous Ms Connie Rebelle and sire of Junior Rebelles founding member Wee Ivy Jean Rebelle).
