Melbourne’s very own Girlgroup Sensation are tearing into 2014 with a triple bill of Double Dates – hooking up with some of their favourite fellow Melbournites at Brunswick’s Spotted Mallard in February, March and April.
With The Rebelles still too young to settle down, each month they’ll be Double Dating with an equally great band and some of Melbourne’s best dance floor filling DJs for your rocking romantic pleasure. Paramouring with The Rebelles first up on Friday 8 February is the always incredible Fiona Lee Maynard and Her Holy Men.
Musical Missionaries Fiona Lee Maynard & Her Holy Men are “Deadly serious musicians with their tongues firmly planted in their cheek”, determined to entertain. When the spirit moves you – feel free to dance & speak in tongues!!! Few bands can claim to be only one year old, yet have over 100 years of collective music experience, with a genealogy including The Johnny’s, Have A Nice Day, In Vivo & UnAustralians.
Plus hip and happening tunes by Eli Schoulal, DJ extraordinaire and host of RRR’s Hellzapoppin’.
That’s Friday February 7, 8pm
The Spotted Mallard, 314 Sydney Road, Brunswick
